Joining MAT Roofing means more than stepping into a fast-paced, growing team—it means becoming part of a company that’s redefining what it means to work in home services today.

When you commit to us, we commit to you with best-in-market benefits—fully paid individual healthcare, PTO, and a matching 401(k)—and a training program focused on professional skill development. We believe a company built on trust and craftsmanship should extend that same care to its people. For generations, Pittsburgh families have trusted us to cover their homes, and we carry that same commitment forward to our workforce.

We invest in our people because they are our greatest resource. Through hands-on training, classroom instruction, and virtual learning, every team member gains the knowledge and tools to master the latest roofing, siding, and service methods. Our structured two-year development paths in sales and operations provide a clear route into roles such as sales leadership, site management, and project oversight—ensuring employees can build lasting, rewarding careers.

At our newly renovated Gibsonia headquarters, professionalism meets camaraderie. Our team knows each other by name (and often by family), works closely across office and field, and takes pride in a culture grounded in accountability, customer focus, and quality. Backed by five-star customer reviews, modern technology, and a reputation for excellence, MAT Roofing offers more than a job—it offers a career built on purpose, stability, and growth.

MAT Development Programs

The Sales Leadership Development Program and Operations Leadership Development Program are 24-month paths designed to turn new hires into leaders at M.A. Thompson Roofing. Training begins with a 12-week bootcamp combining classroom lessons, product education, field ride-alongs, and mentoring. By three months, participants handle independent tasks; at six months, they step into an entry-level role; by twelve months, they specialize further; and at twenty-four months, they graduate ready for full responsibility under a C-level leader. Far from a “sink or swim” approach, the programs provide steady guidance, hands-on experience, and a clear progression that gives each trainee a 360° view of the business.

Sales Leadership Development Program

The Sales Leadership Development Program (SLDP) takes new hires from basic product and sales training into independent sales roles. Trainees progress from supervised ride-alongs and lead generation to running their own appointments, meeting performance goals - ending with graduates who earn strong commissions and benefits. By graduation, participants typically move into senior sales positions, helping shape sales strategy, and progress towards a long-term career path in the industry

The Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) rotates trainees through field work, office operations, and management shadowing. Milestones include learning job site safety and basic roofing skills, managing small projects under supervision, and eventually leading full projects with minimal oversight by the 18–24 month mark. Graduates typically step into Foreman or Project Manager roles with competitive pay, certifications, and leadership responsibilities, setting them on a clear career path toward more senior management in operations moving forward.
